Privacy Policy

Questborne ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile role-playing game developed by Yusuf. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information – When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name and email address from the identity provider. Guest accounts are anonymous.
- Game data – Character names, game sessions, player saves, and quest progress are stored so you can resume play.
- Subscription data – If you purchase a subscription we store the tier, start/end dates, and remaining credits. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play; we never see your payment card details.
- Device identifier – A device ID is used to enforce free-tier credit limits for non-subscribed users.
- AI-generated content – The text you type as in-game commands is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate narrative responses. We do not store your prompts after the response is generated.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the game experience.
- To authenticate your identity and restore your progress across devices.
- To manage subscriptions and credit balances.
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse.
3. Third-Party Services

- Google Play Billing – In-app purchases.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and game data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (Settings → Delete Account), all associated data — game sessions, saves, and subscription records — is permanently removed within 24 hours.
5. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is controlled by row-level security policies so users can only access their own data. Server-side keys are never exposed to the client.
6. Children's Privacy
Questborne is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Your Rights
- Access – You can view your data in the app (Settings page).
- Deletion – You can permanently delete your account and all data from Settings → Delete Account.
- Portability – Contact us to request an export of your data.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
